No one truly knows, but the fact that we don't know (yet?) doesn't prove anything as far as if god does or doesn't exist.

That's like asking what the meaning of existence is; no one knows the truth, there are only theories. If you have faith in the existence of god, that's fine, most educated people will tell you that although we have scientific proof of a lot of things and a lot of theories floating around, no one can really ever know for sure what the answers are.

Believe what you want to, and what you believe to be true from experience. No one else out there has the answers for you.
